
Paolo Cogliati is a Lead 3D Animator and Art Director based in New York.
His work spans advertising, film, and product storytelling, with a focus on character performance, cinematic previs, and motion-driven visual development.
He first gained recognition for producing and directing the award-winning short film Serial Taxi, recognized internationally and featured in festivals and publications including CGArtist and Cartoon Brew.
Subsequently, he was featured on Vanity Fair in the 2017 list of “Italian Excellence” in regards to his directorial and animation work.
He began his career at LAIKA on the Oscar-nominated feature The Boxtrolls, and has since collaborated with leading studios including The Mill, BUCK, Framestore, Psyop, Hornet, Brand New School, Apple and R/GA among others.
His animation and previs work has supported global campaigns and productions for brands such as Google, Amazon, PlayStation, Coca-Cola, GEICO, Samsung and more. This includes previs work on feature films like "Triple Frontier" at Netflix, and "Motherless Brooklyn", produced by Warner Bros.
Paolo has led animation teams and contributed to high-profile commercial and cinematic projects, helping establish performance, camera language, and visual cohesion from concept through final delivery.
Originally from Rome, Italy, Paolo holds both U.S. and European work authorization and was awarded permanent residency in America through the EB-1A merit-based program. He graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design and attended Gobelins l’école de l’image in Paris, specializing in character animation and cinematic storytelling.
